Vijay’s TVK wins party status in debut election

CHENNAI: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam secured recognition as an official political party after crossing 50 lakh votes in its debut Tamil Nadu assembly election, an unprecedented entry for a first-time contestant.Party founder and actor Vijay personally led from the front, holding strong leads in both Perambur and Trichy East constituencies.
